The Prebys Cardiovascular Institute at Scripps Memorial Hospital was the perfect environment for PDG to stretch the boundaries of donor recognition design. The spacious and soaring lobby features the largest single piece of glass art ever created by our studio – a 12-foot tall, backlit monolith with imagery of a Torrey Pine tree.
With mural images of ocean views and pine trees, this display recognizes gifts to the Institute and establishes the design language for the entire donor recognition system. Stories about the building campaign and profiles of major donors are featured on two video monitors. The imagery, colors, and materials from the lobby carry over to another display honoring the lead donor and to individual recognition plaques throughout the facility.
